OCTOBER FLOODS HIT VILLAGE PARKS PDF Print E-mail

Heavy rain on 10th October 08 wreaked havoc in the Play Park, Recreation Ground and Millenium Garden. The Auchencairn Burn in spate, first overflowed the bank just below the road bridge and diverted through the Play Park and across the Recreation Ground. It then overtopped the footbridge, which then being blocked by floating debris, diverted it through the Millenium Garden.
